As you explore the significance of the wishing star, Hiwa-i-te-Rangi, you will craft a unique, hand-bound journal using upcycled papers and fabrics, personalised with stamps and other crafting materials.

Bound with thread, this journal will serve as a special space to record your dreams, wishes, and intentions for the year to come.

This activity combines creativity with cultural storytelling, offering a meaningful way to celebrate and honour the Māori New Year.
