Nau Mai, Haere Mai ki Whakamanawa 2023 – The National Social Services Conference!
Whakamanawa is the moment for all those working in social service mahi and across the social sector to hui together, be inspired, share learning and keep up-to-date with everything happening in our social sector.
As the host of Whakamanawa, Social Service Providers Te Pai Ora o Aotearoa warmly invites you and your fellow kaimahi to gather with us this May at Whakamanawa 2023. This is the only annual Conference that brings together all those working across Aotearoa New Zealand's community social services and wider social sector. We welcome everyone who works in Aotearoa New Zealand's social sector. You’ll join around 250+ fellow delegates attending from throughout community-based social services, the government social sector and a wide range of connected spaces. Check out our programme-at-a-glance on the Whakamanawa 2023 conference web page, with more to be announced soon!
Whakamanawa 2023 will be our first time being back kanohi ki te kanohi – fully in-person for three years – and we can’t wait to welcome you at Te Papa Tongarewa in beautiful Te Whanganui-a-Tara!
You will leave the conference informed, reconnected and ready to take ideas for action back to your organisation. You will be revitalised to take up the challenges and opportunities of working in te ao huri huri together with Aotearoa New Zealand’s children, rangatahi, families and whānau. We have also announced our keynote kaikōrero Hon Carmel Sepuloni, Jehan Casinader and Chappie Te Kani.
We also encourage you to get your ticket today for the Conference Dinner, to be held in the special location of the Banquet Hall at Paremata – our Parliament. This will be a chance to gather with colleagues and friends and celebrate the impact our social services and social sector makes every day.
So grab your tickets now, and encourage your friends and fellow kaimahi to get theirs, too!
SSPA is grateful to Oranga Tamariki and the Ministry of Social Development Te Manatū Whakahiato Ora for supporting Whakamanawa 2023.
