With whale migration season well underway, you may have already noticed whales travelling along our coastline. This makes it the perfect time to learn more about our remarkable ocean giants! Join us for a free online presentation from local whale expert and scientist Dr. Vanessa Pirotta as part of the 2026 Ocean Festival. Q&A time included.

Learn about their complex songs, social interactions and what makes whale migration an important indicator of a healthy marine ecosystem.

We’ll also talk about the challenges whales face, including the pressures of climate shifts, entanglement risks and human activity along their migration routes.

Whether you’re a passionate whale watcher, a marine science enthusiast, or simply someone who loves our oceans, this webinar is a chance to learn about the ecology of the whales that share our coastal waters.

This webinar will NOT be recorded so please register below to make sure you don’t miss the live session.
