Whanau Passport Guided Rides
Event description
Get a head-start collecting stamps for the brilliant Biketober Whanau Passport.
These one-hour rides are led by cycling instructor Paul Odlin and the Biketober Team. We start at The Detour pump track on Manchester St and will stop at passport destinations before ending with ice cream for the kids at Rollickin’ Gelato.
We will show you and your children how to navigate the central city bike lanes, read the road ahead for hazards, and how to cross safely at intersections.
The Whanau Passport is a great school holiday activity that takes you to child-friendly destinations on separated bike lanes and shared paths. You'll also be in to win cool prizes!
Adults – you must ride with your children; unaccompanied children will not be accepted on this ride.
This is not a learn-to-ride class. Children should be able to ride independently for up to an hour, or travel on their adult's bike. Children must be able to follow instructions.
