    Event description

    Welcome to Whangamata Labour Weekend Yoga Kirtan Retreat 2023! 

    The retreat runs from 7pm Friday 20th  - 12pm Monday 23rd October 2023

    at the Whangamata War Memorial Hall, Whangamata, 3620

    Programs run in the mornings from 9.00 am -11.00 am; afternoons from  3.30pm - 10 pm

    Tickets only $60 pp for the whole retreat including all programs (children under 12 are free!) 

    Day trippers $20 per day, you can book online for the days you are attending or pay at the door. Please text to advise if you are coming for dinner (mobile numbers below). 

    Koha/donations are appreciated.

    Accommodation is not included in this ticket price - please contact us for advice about accommodation options.

    Afternoons free to enjoy bush walks and nature hikes to waterfalls, beach, picnics, surf etc. Relax, rejuvenate and have fun! Bring friends/make friends, or just recharge yourself.

    All dinners & snacks provided at the retreat are vegetarian, plant based & egg-free (with vegan and GF options available).

    Retreat Schedule:

    7pm Friday 20th October

    Evening Program

    7 pm: Welcome & Introduction followed by Yoga breathing

    7.20 pm: Acoustic / unplugged Kirtan meditation

    8.00 pm: Ecstatic Kirtan with the Mantra Band

    9.00 pm: Light Supper, Tea and snacks.

    Saturday 21st October

    Morning Program

    9.00 am: Inspire Flow Yoga w/ Carrie Burns

    10.00 am: Kirtan 

    10.15 am: Pranayama and Japa Meditation 

    10.30 am: Kirtan

    11.00 am: Tea and snacks.

    Free time (group beach or bush walk, weather permitting)

    Afternoon Program

    5.00 pm Kirtan Music and Drumming Circle (bring an instrument if you have one)

    6.00 pm: Dinner at hall - Moroccan Veggie Tagine 

    7.00 pm:  Yoga Breathing & Yoga Wisdom (talk & chant)

    7.40pm: Acoustic Kirtan

    8.00pm: Ecstatic Kirtan with The Mantra Band 

    9.30 pm Tea & Cookies

    Sunday 22nd October

    Morning Program

    9.00 am: Inspire Flow Yoga w/ Carrie

    10.00 am: Kirtan 

    10.15 am: Pranayama and Japa Meditation 

    10.30 am: Kirtan

    11.00 am: Tea and snacks.

    Free time (group beach or bush walk, weather permitting)

    Afternoon Program

    5.00 pm Deep Peace relaxation 

    6 pm: Dinner at hall - Mexican Inspired Nachos 

    7 pm: Yoga Breathing & Yoga Wisdom (talk & chant)

    7.40pm: Acoustic Kirtan

    8.00pm: Ecstatic Kirtan with The Mantra Band 

    9.30 pm Tea & Cookies

    Monday 23rd October 

    Morning Program

    9.00 am: Inspire Flow Yoga w/ Carrie

    10.00 am: Kirtan
