Welcome to Whangamata Summer Yoga Kirtan Retreat 2024!

Meditation New Zealand's ever popular Yoga Kirtan Retreats are the perfect way to escape the daily grind, recharge, and embrace a vibrant new lifestyle focused on your well-being.

These immersive weekend long events are designed to introduce you to a joyful and rejuvenating lifestyle that nurtures your body, mind, and soul. Dive into the ancient practice of yoga, find serenity through meditation, and dance your heart out during uplifting Kirtan sessions!

The retreat runs from 7pm Friday 5th - 11am Monday 8th January 2024 at the Whangamata War Memorial Hall - 326 Port Road, Whangamata.

Programs run in the mornings from 9.00 am -11.00 am, and afternoons from 3.30pm - 10 pm

Afternoons free to enjoy bush walks and nature hikes to waterfalls, beach, picnics, surf etc. Relax, rejuvenate and have fun! Bring friends/make friends, or just recharge yourself.

Tickets only $60 pp for the whole retreat including all programs (children under 12 are free!) This includes meals & snacks but not accommodation.
Day trippers $20 per day, you can book online for the days you are attending or pay at the door. Please text to advise if you are coming for dinner (mobile numbers below).

Accommodation is not included in the ticket prices. Options include Airbnb, holiday baches, hotels, campgrounds and more - please contact us for advice about accommodation options. Things book up quickly in the Summer so plan ahead!

All dinners & snacks provided at the retreat are vegetarian, plant based & egg-free (with vegan and GF options available).

7 pm: Welcome & Introduction followed by Yoga breathing
7.20 pm: Acoustic / unplugged Kirtan meditation
8.00 pm: Ecstatic Kirtan with the Mantra Band
9.00 pm: Light Supper, Tea and snacks.

---Saturday 6th January
Morning Program
9.00 am: Inspire Flow Yoga w/ Carrie Burns
10.00 am: Kirtan
10.15 am: Pranayama and Japa Meditation
10.30 am: Kirtan
11.00 am: Tea and snacks.
Free time (group beach or bush walk, weather permitting)

Evening Program
5.00 pm Kirtan Music and Drumming Circle (bring an instrument if you have one)
6.00 pm: Dinner at hall -Mexican inspired nachos
7.00 pm: Yoga Breathing & Yoga Wisdom (talk & chant)
7.40pm: Acoustic Kirtan
8.00pm: Ecstatic Kirtan with The Mantra Band
9.30 pm Tea & Cookies
