Join us for the annual Whangārei Heads Arts Trail, a unique cultural journey along 35km of spectacular, volcanic coastline. This event is your exclusive invitation to step inside the private studios and community spaces of our region's most talented creators.

What Makes the Trail Special?

• Meet the Makers: Go behind the scenes to chat directly with local artists, discover their creative processes, and buy original artwork directly from the source.

• Diverse Art Forms: Explore a rich variety of mediums, including painting, sculpture, pottery, jewellery, woodwork, and textiles.

• A Vibrant Creative Community: Celebrate the incredible artistic excellence of the Heads, featuring everyone from celebrated masters to emerging local talent and invited guest artists.

• Stunning Scenery: Experience the perfect blend of art and nature as you travel between studios set against dramatic peaks and pristine beaches.

Important Event Information

• Dates & Times: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th March

• Entry: Completely free to visit all studios and community halls.

• Your Essential Trail Companion ($5): To navigate the trail, grab a copy of our official Trail Guide. It includes the full map, artist locations, mini-profiles showcasing our artists, and doubles as your raffle ticket for a chance to win art vouchers valued at $100, $300, or $600 to spend with any trail artist!
