Whangārei Pride Parade!
Event description
Join Whangarei's First Pride Parade!
The parade leaves from the carpark on the west end of Te Matau ā Pohe bridge at 10am (meet at 9 if you would like to join in), making it's way along the loop, stopping briefly near Northland Youth Theatre, past the Waka & Wave for a quick dance break around 11am.
Then we continue through the Town Basin to finish at Pūtahi Park for a Gaÿla of performances and stalls, hosted by NZ Drag sensation Anita Wigl'it!!!
If you are joining the parade, please register so you can receive all appropriate health & safety information. You will need to arrive at 9am to be ready for briefing and opening karakia before the event kicks off. OR you can join us at the quick dance break for a half-parade if that suits you better
