In this popular, practical Wicking Garden Bed Workshop we will demonstrate construction of productive small and large wicking beds. We will cover growing media, propagation, seasonal selection and watering systems to ensure you have a bountiful, water efficient growing system.

A practical workshop learning all about water efficient wicking garden beds.  We will build a range of beds large and small and learn about the value of making and including nutrient and microbe rich compost into a successful productive food garden.  David de Vries is the man behind Food Gardening in New Zealand and has been teaching and gardening across temperate, tropical, subtropical and arid landscapes in New Zealand, India and Australia over the last 25 years. He has run this workshop over 50 times to over 600 participants to bring his expertise in building wicking garden beds using readily available materials, worm composting and site selection.
