Event description

and We have played a lot, laughed and been challenged by a variety of music.  Our player numbers have increased and together we have learnt a lot

At this concert you get to share the joy and fun that we have had. We think we are playing better but you will be the judge of that

AND FROM CHARLIE

Charlie McCarthy

It has been a joy to conduct the Southern Tasmanian Community Orchestra this term. The enthusiasm in the room each week is infectious—this is a group that truly loves making music together! Whether tackling a lyrical Elgar phrase, finding the pulse of an Argentine tango, singing about bananas or diving into a lively Irish reel, the orchestra has embraced every challenge with energy and determination.

Our upcoming concert on April 8th is a celebration of this spirit. We’ve put together a program that spans the globe—so expect soaring English melodies, fiery Mexican dances, evocative Japanese soundscapes, and more. It’s a chance to experience the joy and camaraderie that has made our rehearsals such a pleasure.

This will be my final concert conducting the orchestra (I will be back next year), I’d love to see you there to share in the music, the fun, and the excitement of live performance!

Join us on April 8th and be part of the journey!

So over to you. We would love have you enjoying the orchestra and having a great night. Entry is by donation. Getting your ticket before the event will let us know you are coming and give you a faster entry in to get a seat.  Help your friends by sharing this event with them
