Description

What If Water Knows?

An afternoon exploring what water may have to teach us… if we’re willing to listen.

What if water is more than simply H₂O? What if it can organise, respond, carry information, or reveal something about the world around it that we are only beginning to understand?

Join water researcher and author Veda Austin and Source water Founder & Kaitiaki Shona Grundy for a rare afternoon together, sharing two remarkable journeys of discovery and the observations that have profoundly changed the way they understand water.

For the first time, Veda and Shona will appear together in person to speak and share their work, stories and discoveries on the same stage.

Veda Austin | The Living Language of Water

For more than a decade, water researcher and author Veda Austin has been documenting what she describes as the living language of water, using a unique crystallographic freezing technique to explore the ways water appears to respond to information, imagery, words and its environment.

In this presentation, Veda will unveil the latest chapter of her research, sharing extraordinary new crystallography, rare symbols and newly emerging glyphs, including discoveries from water collected in Egypt.

With intriguing parallels to ancient symbols and mysteries from around the world, Veda will explore a growing body of observations that challenge conventional assumptions and invite a much bigger question:

What if water knows more than we think it does?

Shona Grundy | What Happens When Water Becomes the Teacher?

Shona never intended to work with water.

With a career spanning technology, innovation and the creative industries, Shona came to the world of water as a sceptic. Her journey with her husband, Ross, began with the discovery of an unusual natural water deep beneath their family’s land in New Zealand.

What followed was more than a decade of unexpected encounters, scientific testing, research, customer stories and observations that gradually challenged much of what she thought she knew.

As Founder and Kaitiaki of Source water, Shona will share this accidental journey, from discovering Source’s unusual physical properties to working alongside researchers including Veda Austin and exploring water at the intersection of science, information and spirit.

Her talk is ultimately a story about curiosity, remaining open to what we don’t yet understand, and what can happen when we begin to see water as something more than simply water.

And plenty of time to connect

This is an intimate four-hour afternoon, with time not only to hear from Veda and Shona, but to meet them, ask questions and continue the conversation.

Guests will also have the opportunity to pre-purchase a copy of Veda Austin’s book, The Living Language of Water when purchasing their ticket, so it is waiting for them at the event to be personally signed by Veda.

There will also be the opportunity to pre-purchase Source water to take home; the water that became central to Veda’s own personal story and research, and which is now being discovered by people around the world.

Pre-order your Book & Source Water

If you’d like to take home a little more from the day, you can pre-order Veda’s book and/or Source water when purchasing your ticket.

Pre-orders close at 5pm AEST on Thursday 24 September 2026 to allow sufficient time for printing, packing and shipping to Australia. After this date, event attendance tickets only will be available.

Book: The Living Language of Water by Veda Austin, with the opportunity to have your copy personally signed by Veda at the event.

Water: 1 × 10-litre box of Source water to take home and experience for yourself.

A quick note about collection

All pre-ordered books and Source water must be collected at the event on the day.

As we are travelling from New Zealand specifically for this event, we’re unfortunately unable to store, ship or arrange later collection of any items left behind. Please remember to take your pre-purchased items home with you, as refunds cannot be provided for uncollected items.

Books and Source water will not be available to purchase at the event. We are bringing only the quantities that have been pre-ordered, so if you would like either, please be sure to add them when purchasing your ticket before pre-orders close.

Come curious.

You may never look at water in quite the same way again.
