    Event description

We warmly invite you to join us as we draw (What is) Belonging showcase to an inspiring close on January 12th, 6:30-9pm.

Please take this special opportunity to experience these visual stories exploring identity and belonging with the gifted artists behind them, once more.

In an informal yet intimate setting, participating artists will be on hand to answer any questions, discuss their processes in manifesting such vulnerability and truth on canvas, or simply converse over what “belonging” means to them as the themes emerge.

Art has power to heal divides when we make space for courageous listening.

Enjoy light bites, refreshments, wine, and beer!

Please note on Purchase Works: All Commissions will be donated to Detention Resistance whose mission is to end detention and make visible the human rights abuses at migrant prisons, with a focus on closing the Otay Mesa Detention Center (OMDC). They envision a world in which the humanity of all people to live freely is respected.

They do this by organizing and building self-determination for migrants and refugees, and other people who have been criminalized by the state.

RSVP below to honor these artists and their visions that will surely leave a lasting mark on how we view ourselves and our interconnectedness of belonging.
