What is birth related trauma?
Event description
Join us for a 30-minute lunchtime webinar designed for health professionals who care for women in the perinatal period.
Hosted by Dr Alex Umbers, an experienced GP Obstetrician, this session will explore the reality of birth related trauma—what it is, how it impacts women, and why it matters.
We’ll also introduce Peer2Peer, a community-based support group developed by Birth Trauma Australia providing lived-experience support for women following a traumatic birth. Learn how this program complements clinical care and how you can connect your patients to it.
This session is ideal for GPs, midwives, maternal child health nurses, and allied health professionals. Bring your lunch, and leave with practical knowledge that could change a life.
