What Kind of Kingborough?
Event description
Kingborough Thrives* is seeking 100 local people who’d like to say how they'd like Kingborough to become. Kinder? Safer? Greener? More commercial? More family friendly? More local employment? Better public transport?
What would you like Kingborough Council to do in the coming years?
There will be 10 different streams of conversations through the event and you can jump from one group to another to add your say.
Come and put your ideas, passion and vision for the kind of community you want into this facilitated conversation. For this event we’ll be using a large-scale approach called a “World Café”, in which everyone participates as individual local citizens, not as representatives of any businesses, organisations, political parties or other interest groups. Please come with that in mind.
Lead facilitator Mary Dwyer of Impact Solutions International is a local resident who has led consultation and dispute resolution processes in over 15 countries around the world.
We will be exploring subjects including
- What would need to change for our region to be the way you want it?
- What are we already doing well here; and what not so well?
- What could a Kinder Kingborough look like?
