Ever wondered why some paintings 'catch the eye' ... and another doesn't? Could be subject, colours, shape ... many factors. But a planned composition shows us how all the parts of an image can be 'put together' to create a visually pleasant outcome. In a good composition the eye will know exactly where the focus of your work is!
