The entrance to the building smack dab in the middle of the storefront gallery. Look for two large bay windows – if you see the Shelterwood Collective logo on the window, you’re in the right place!

Enter code 6218 on the keypad, turn knob, and push to enter. Walk upstairs to the 2nd floor. At the top of the stairs take a right into the waiting room and feel free to help yourself to tea or water. The gathering space will be all the way down the hall on the right (#206).

Parking: Street parking is available surrounding the building, and it is free after 6pm. 1st Avenue, Main Street, King Street, Alaska Way, and Jackson St (between 1st and Alaska) are good spots to look. DowntownSeattleParking.com makes it easy to find parking availability and rates in the neighborhood.

To help you prepare In the days before we gather, you might take a moment to notice what you are carrying — what losses, sorrows, or heaviness have been with you lately, whether personal or collective. There is nothing to do with this noticing except let it be seen.

You are also warmly invited to bring an object or two for our community grief altar — something that holds personal or collective meaning, connects you to a loss, or simply brings a sense of grounding or hope. This might be a photograph, natural elements such as a stone or a dried flower/herb, a small keepsake, or a written prayer or intention.

Please wear comfortable, loose clothing, and feel free to bring a journal if you'd like to write.
