Description

What is this workshop about?

Have you ever said yes when your whole body was saying no?

Given until you felt resentful, or held back from asking for what you wanted in case it was “too much”?

Most of us were never taught how to notice what we really want in our relationships, let alone how to ask for it or how to receive it without guilt. This workshop is a warm, unhurried invitation to change that.

Over two spacious days, you'll build the communication and consent skills that make relationships feel safer, clearer and more alive, with a partner, with the people you're closest to, and with yourself.

Through simple, practical, embodied practices, you'll be supported to slow down, notice what genuinely feels good, and express your desires and limits with more ease and honesty. This is the foundation of wholehearted, connected relating.

This work is grounded in the Wheel of Consent®, a beautifully simple and profound framework for understanding the dynamics that shape how we give and receive in relationship. You don't need to know anything about it to begin, just your curiosity and a willingness to listen inwardly.

Seasoned practitioners and complete beginners are equally welcome. Wherever you're starting from is the right place to begin. Choice and body sovereignty are at the heart of this work.

Who is this for?

This workshop is for anyone who wants more clarity, ease and closeness in how they relate, in partnership, and everyday connection.

Come on your own to deepen your relationship with yourself and build skills you'll carry into every connection, or come with a friend or partner to discover a shared language for consent, desire and care. All relationships, all bodies, all genders are warmly welcome.

What you'll explore and learn

Over the two days, through gentle group exploration and clearly negotiated non-sexual touch activities, you'll be supported to:

  • Slow down and notice what genuinely feels good to you, rather than tolerating what doesn't

  • Build a shared language for desire, limits and care that you can carry into your relationships

  • Sense the difference between giving, receiving, and simply going along with something and why that difference matters

  • Grow your confidence in naming what you want, and in truly hearing what someone else wants

  • Reconnect with your own yes and no, and feel the ease, safety and closeness this brings

  • Ask for what you'd like, and discover a wholehearted yes or no in return

A note on touch and sex

If you're wondering whether this is “a sex thing”, it isn't.

The Wheel can absolutely enrich intimate relationships, and this particular workshop keeps its focus on the foundations: touch, boundaries, choice and clear agreements. Everything moves at the pace of your own comfort.

Many of us have learned to experience touch and sex as merged together, which can make it hard to explore touch on its own. In this workshop, the two are deliberately held apart.

Our practices are non-sexual and fully clothed, and touch is always an option you choose not an expectation.

You're welcome to take part with touch or without it, to work on your own or with others, to rest or journal, and to change your mind at any point. Nothing happens without your clear yes.

What is the Wheel of Consent®?

The Wheel of Consent® was developed by Dr Betty Martin. It is an embodied framework for clarity, choice and empowered interaction in both touch and non-touch dynamics.

By distinguishing “who is doing” and “who it is for,” the Wheel helps untangle common confusion in relating and builds capacity for clear, empowered agreements.

This work supports you to notice, trust, and communicate your desires and limits, not just in your head, but through your body.
