L0P@
An ode to his Nana, this short film is an intimate journey along urban streets and homely backyards.
Red, White & Brass
This FREE community screening is going to go off so bookings are essential to see the latest Tongan smash hit, made in NZ, Red, White & Brass.
Maka, a Tongan superfan, will do whatever it takes to get tickets to the Tonga vs France Rugby World Cup game – even if it means promising to deliver a brass band for the pre-match entertainment. The only problem is the band doesn’t exist, and Maka has four weeks to make one.
The laughs and the feels are real, made deeper by the fact this was inspired by a true story.
** Please note SESSION 2 films L0P@ and Red, White & Brass will be audio described for our Blind & Low Vision audiences. We have a limited number of ear-pieces for our tangata kāpō only. Please email connect@whaupasifika.nz if you require venue assistance or an earpiece.
This screening is supported by Audio Described Aotearoa. Malo ‘aupito to Piki Films, Madmen, Nua and Damon for allowing this to happen! Audio Description performed by Kasi Valu, Haanz Fa'avae-Jackon and Nicola Kawana
++ We want you to enjoy Pasifika stories made by and for Pasifika. If you can, all donations made with your free ticket will go directly to PISA (Pacific Island Screen Artists). Fa'afetai Lava https://www.pisa.org.nz/
