Wheelchair Rugby League
Event description
We aspire to be a College where staff and students know that their perspectives, skills, and lived experiences are valued and respected.
In recognition of International Wheelchair day on 1 March Canberra Region Rugby League Inclusions Officer will be bringing the all-inclusive sport, wheelchair Rugby League to the College.
Wheelchair Rugby League is an adaptive, all inclusive-sport – not just a sport for people with a disability.
It is a variation of the running game that allows athletes with disabilities to compete with and against able-bodied people. This inclusivity offers a level playing field for all athletes that few other sports can provide. Wheelchair Rugby League provides an inclusive recreational activity which promotes fun, fitness, and self-development whilst fostering good sportsmanship in a safe and positive environment. You can find more information on the Rules.
