FAQs
- Do I need to make a waiver?
Yes, it is a condition of entry that all cyclists read the General Release and Indemnity, which is below. Completion of entry presumes acceptance of cycling risks.
- Where do the rides start from?
All rides will start from Princes Park, Maryborough, Victoria. You will find the starting point at the southern end of the park, near the band rotunda.
- Where can we park?
Limited parking is available by at the north end of Princes Park, entering via Park Road. Riders can also park on Park Road, Earl Street and other surrounding streets. A drpo-off area is avilable at 8 Lake Road, adjacent to the Outdoor Pool. Riders staying overnight are encouraged to ride from their accommodation.

Note that camping is available at the Maryborough Camping and Caravan Park, adjacent to Princes Park, enter from Holyrood Street.
- Will there be any entertainment other than the rides?
For this first year (2026), there will not be entertainment such as bands or a big screen for the AFL Grand Final. We will provide an update to riders if there is any change, such as paddle-o rides. In coming years, we will expand the event to include an entertainment package after we have been able to secure sponsorship.
- Will refreshments be provided on the courses?
Yes! We will provide refreshments for riders during the rides, including at the turnaround points on the Friday road rides and select points in the Saturday forest rides.
- Will traffic management be provided?
Yes! We take safety seriously and there will be road signs and a traffic management plan. Please read the waiver and ride safely, obeying all traffic rules.
- Do I get a discount for buying two tickets - one Friday course and one Saturday course?
Yes! Riders who enter one Friday course and one Saturday course will receive a 20% discount on the base ticket cost (before fees). For example, a rider entering the King of the Mountain ($100) on Friday and the Daisy Hill Adventure ($150) on Saturday would pay $200 ($250 less 20%) before fees. As the ride groups depart at 10-minute intervals on both days, it is impossible to enter two rides on the same day. We are offeroing a discount to encourage riders and their supporters to stay for the long weekend to enjoy our central goldfields region.
