About Maureen

Maureen is a retired educator, a long-time member of the PCNetSA committee, and a committed environmentalist. A keen gardener, she is passionate about the value of nature for mental and spiritual health and well-being. Maureen lead worship at her home church (Seacliff UC) and elsewhere. She has a deep interest in contemplative and spiritual worship and the practice of meditation, both Christian and Buddhist.

I think it’s a misunderstanding to say that worship only counts if it involves saying/singing correct things about God. Worship can then become performance, an effort to win God's praise. When we worship in and with nature, that worship embraces the joy that God wants all of us to dance in.
