Nilguen Yalay is a naturally talented and passionate Storyteller. She quit her job as a Hospice Grief Therapist in Christchurch and decided to reconnect with her former " love" of the Theater and acting. She bought herself an old Motorhome, called " Gypsy Rose" which takes her around New Zealand to connect with people by telling her tales. For a number of years her stories focused on telling Mythological Folktales collected from all over the world, mostly for adults.

More recently she has ventured into bringing to stage her own personal life stories which are very relatable and thought provoking, yet utterly entertaining.

Nilguen is based on Banks Peninsula, living in a small Eco Settlement with her husband and dog Bridie! Her son lives nearby and has two boys who are deeply loved by this passionate grandmother....
