    Event description

    When: 28th-29th June/Pipiri – Friday/Saturday Matariki weekend 

    Where: Stewart Island Community Centre, 10 Ayr St, Rakiura

    Why: To celebrate 25 years of successfully keeping this motu predator free.

    3 Threads Woven Together

    – Recognise Ngai Tahu rangatiratanga of the motu (chance for those who whakapapa to the island to connect, learn, share stories).

    – Celebrate the work of DOC and Aotearoa as a centre of excellence for island eradications and biosecurity, recognise those unsung heroes.

    – Highlight the potential for achievements on Whenua Hou also being achieved on Rakiura via Predator Free Rakiura.
