Description
Respecting the Tweed River’s food economy while reviving the historic riverfront tavern where the Rous River meets the Tweed, this idyllic spot is perfect for a bistro style lunch packed with reliable comfort flavours and honest, home-style cooking and generous hospitality. Whether it’s fish from the Tweed Fishing Club, Fair Game wild meat cooked in the smoker or in-season vegetables from Cudgen Plateau farms that takes your fancy for your main course, you’ll start lunch with an antipasto grazing plate and finish with a Condong molasses sponge pudding.
A welcome drink is served on arrival, choose either a beer from Earth Brewery, a Sora mocktail or a Yuzu Spritz then grab your spot at one of the lunch tables on the deck and settle in for a relaxing afternoon on the riverfront as the Tavern team bring commitment to the essence of hyperlocal practice – taste the difference.
