This course has the potential to cover lyricism, setting words to music, chords and chord progressions, song structure, arrangement, tools, and approach. Where we spend our energy as a class will depend on the cumulative needs of the songwriters who attend. Rest assured there will be profound takeaways for every beginning songwriter!
Maggie is an American born singer-songwriter based in Whangarei. She specialises in popular voice performance, instruction, and composition, with heavy pop, rock, blues, folk, jazz, and RnB influence.
Fans of singer-songwriters from the 60s onwards will appreciate her 'sincere and timeless style’. Together with such bands as: The Maggie Cocco Band, Maggie Cocco’s Science for Sociopaths, The Lucky Devils, All-Star Jukebox, Moonlight Music Productions, etc, she has performed and released original material for audiences worldwide since 2014.
