Which Duck is that. How to identify local waterbirds
Event description
Which duck, egret, or cormorant is that? All will be revealed as you learn how to recognise the top 40 local waterbirds in our ponds, lakes and wetlands, with our dynamic bird boffins, Mike and Rachel Green. Nail each bird’s appearance, male-female differences, and habits by using the quality information provided coupled with superb photographs and videos taken in the City of Bayswater.
As a bonus, discover when a duck is not a duck; the birds' local hideouts, and the dangers of feeding our waterbirds. This is all sprinkled with a good sense of humour, and lots of energy and interaction. Join us.
This is the second in a series of three bird talks Rachel and Mike will be giving.
The first one is on "Which bird is that: How to identify birds in your garden" on 6th September 2025.
The third one is "How to attract more birds to your garden" on 1st November 2025.
This workshop is proudly brought to you by Enviro House and the City of Bayswater
