Who Gets To Flourish Artist Talk hosted by Jason Janz

The artist talk for Who Gets To Flourish? will feature a virtual panel conversation with incarcerated artists whose work is included in the exhibition. Centered on dignity, creativity, and restoration, the discussion will invite artists to share about their artistic process, the meaning behind their featured pieces, and how creating art shapes their understanding of identity and hope. Rather than focusing on personal history, the conversation will highlight the power of imagination, resilience, and expression within constrained environments. Artists will reflect on what flourishing means from their perspective and what they hope audiences carry with them after engaging the work. The panel creates space for honest dialogue about art as a practice of personal and collective restoration, while challenging assumptions about capacity and confinement. Attendees will have the opportunity to listen, reflect, and consider their role in expanding access to opportunity, belonging, and restoration in our shared community.
