Art Exhibition Opening: Who'(i)s home in Inglewood?
Event description
Who'(i)s home in Inglewood? A joint exhibition by Janice Oliver and Bruce Reid, Artists-in-Residence, Inglewood Arts Hub
Janice and Bruce are multidisciplinary artists, both with a passion for printmaking, who commenced a six-month residency in July 2025. They had not worked together at the outset.
Their combined body of work explores, Who'(i)s home in Inglewood?
Janice's focus is from her home, to yours, in Inglewood. Explorations of a slow-walking sustainable artist's practice. Meeting the community, the flora, the fauna. Sometimes as an insider, sometimes as an outsider and in the spaces in-between.
Bruce's fundamental concept is comparing traditional kumara growing practices in Polynesia with modern day working from home practices. A rather dystopian conceptual exploration, drawing pegs around boundaries, as per his former life as a landscape architect.
Come visit the gallery for a visual feast of installation, sculpture, painting, artists books, and printmaking and draw your own conclusion about who'(i)s home in Inglewood?
