The better we understand Coercive Control - what it looks like and how it plays out, the better equipped we are to support friends and colleagues. 

Listening to expert Jolene Ellat of the DART Institute and a panel of experts speak on Coercive Control took me back to that roller coaster time when I was in an abusive relationship and thirty years on, I so wish I had had a better understanding of the behaviours that identify the perpetrator for what they are - manipulative, clever people who keep someone off balance with a powerful mixture of 'love bombing and harmful strategies.

As a 'copper', Simone has to deal with the impact that DV has on the community she really cares about in Margaret River where she is the Sergeant in Charge of the station. 

How can we as women, work to change the narrative for our children?
