Whooper Walks in Indiana Nov. 11, 2026 to Feb. 24, 2027 (most Wednesdays at 8 a.m. ET.)
Description
Join us for a morning bird walk at Goose Pond Fish and Wildlife Area in Linton, Indiana! We will meet at the Visitor Center at 8 a.m. ET on Wednesday mornings from November 11 through February 24, excluding November 25, December 9, and December 30. Participants will walk around the property and see if we can spot some of our resident winter birds, including the Endangered Whooping Crane. Dress for the weather, tie on your walking shoes, and join us for Whooper Wednesdays!
Weather cancellations: In the event of a travel advisory or extreme cold warning being issued for Greene or surrounding counties, the event will be canceled. Participants who have registered in advance will be notified of cancellations the night before. If you have questions about the event status, email mcallaghan@savingcranes.org.
