LitCrawl Phase 3: Why Does Magic Matter?

Witches have fascinated writers and storytellers for hundreds of years and they are now enjoying a Renaissance: being reclaimed and celebrated for their indefinable selves. Where do witches in Aotearoa books come from? What kind of research is involved in creating a witchy character? Join writers Isa Pearl Ritchie (Holloway Witches, The Seeker’s Garden), Graci Kim (The Last Falling Star), Cassie Hart (Hexes & Vexes by Nova Blake; Butcherbird) and Elizabeth Knox (The Absolute Book) who reveal their magical thinking.

In Level 2, LitCrawl events are pre-registration only. You must have a ticket to attend. Ticket prices are pay what you want from $5 per person. Any amount is hugely appreciated and goes a long way to support our artists, our organisation and our future viability.

If we get to Level 1 in time for the Festival then those who have pre-registered will have priority entry.

While we understand that things happen at the last minute, if you can no longer make the event you've registered for, please do tell us. There is high demand for these events and we will be able to give your space to a grateful recipient.
