Join us for an intimate gathering of 20 like minds, talking and learning over breakfast in a Brunswick warehouse. Watch a live recording of Ella Thompson & Tim Shiel in conversation for the podcast Why Make Music, then discuss your own reactions and experiences with Ella and Tim in discussion circles led by Breakfast Club facilitators Francesca Gonzales & Zoltan Fesco.

About our guest: Ella Thompson's music traverses the landscape of classic & contemporary soul, inviting listeners to contemplate the vast expanse of human emotion and the interconnectedness of all things. She is a highly respected member of Naarm's vibrant and deeply collaborative soul scene, mentored early on by Australian soul icon Renee Geyer, and since touring with artists from Mark Ronson, Lee Fields & Angel Olsen. She recently released new album Ripple on the Wing via Hope Street Recordings.
Food: Each guest will be asked to bring a small offering of breakfast goodies. Interpret this however you like! Coffee and tea will be provided.
Venue details: A location in Brunswick - we'll email you the exact address a few days before the event.
Timings: Please arrive at 8:30 am, and we'll be finished at 11. All guests are expected to attend the full event.
Cancellations: It's ok if you decide you can't make it, but tickets are very limited so please let us know if you're not coming. In order to receive a full refund, please send an email or message no later than 5:00pm the day before the session. We encourage anyone feeling unwell to please stay at home.
