Why Solar?

Join Staffordshire Green Network and Aura Power for an informative online webinar on Wednesday 29th January 2025, 6-7pm.

Aura Power will be giving an overview of solar farms in the UK, including how they contribute to UK energy security, and addressing some of the myths around solar farms. They will then give an update on a planned solar farm in Staffordshire, and outline the importance of local support for clean energy projects in the UK.

Aura Power is a global developer of renewable energy projects, including solar farms and battery storage systems. It aims to tackle climate change, enhance the natural environment and engage with local communities.

Staffordshire Green Network brings together community groups and local residents who are interested in creating a happier, healthier Staffordshire by working on topics such as nature, wildlife, energy, food, transport and much more. We focus on improving communication between different sectors, upskilling through training and knowledge sharing, and creating networking opportunities for people to meet and share their work.
