Why standing with your friends is needed more than ever in an unstable world

The world is becoming increasingly unstable. Russia’s war in Ukraine is into its third year. There is increasing instability in the Middle East and competition in the Indo-Pacific. Simultaneously, climate change and rapidly emerging technologies such as AI are affecting us all. In such times of uncertainty we must respond with resilience and unity. The British High Commissioner, Her Excellency Iona Thomas OBE, will provide the UK’s perspective and answer the question of why the enduring partnership between New Zealand and the UK is needed more than ever in an increasingly unstable world.
