Thomas was a signatory to the Uluru Statement from the Heart, is the author of Always Was, Always Will Be and is Assistant National Secretary of the Maritime Union of Australia.

His talk, as part of our Democracy Matters series, shows why unity and consensus are crucial to the pathway forward for a just and fair Australia.
