Wi Neera Street Community Garden Working Bee

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

The brassicas (cabbages, broccoli etc) and salad greens are doing well. We created a new strawberry bed, planning ahead for summer!  Come along and help us get some more winter crops in and create gardens for perennial crops. Does anyone have a favourite rhubarb plant they can donate to the garden?

This working bee we will:

  • Plant winter crops and cover crops
  • Sow some salad veges
  • Mulching and tidy edges and paths

The regular working bees happen every second and fourth Tuesday of the month.

Please do bring a hat, shoes, and gloves if you like wearing them.
We have water and picnic seating onsite.

The Wi Neera Street community garden is an educational and recreational space where people can learn from each other, and learn by doing. Gardeners of all experience levels and abilities are welcome.
No commitment necessary, come for a look and a chat if you like and hopefully you'll leave with more gardening know-how and, perhaps some spare produce.
