About our Speakers:

Hayley Neumann, Partner, Sinclair Wilson

Hayley has been working as an Accountant for over 15 years and began at Sinclair Wilson in 2017 as a Senior Accountant and recently became partner. She completed her Bachelor of Commerce Degree with UniSA in 2012 and became a CPA in 2016.

As an accountant her days are spent working with small and medium business owners assisting with all their accounting and taxation needs.

In 2019 Hayley became President of the Mount Gambier Chamber of Commerce after a short period as Treasurer. The highlights of her presidency have been the opportunities to advocate for the Mount Gambier business community and meeting many leaders within the community and throughout South Australia. In 2020 Hayley participated in the Limestone Coast Leadership Program which was a rewarding and eye opening experience.

Away from the office, and the Chamber, Hayley’s number one priority is spending time with her family. Hayley and her husband Craig have two children, Isabelle & Luke, and their evenings and weekends are spent at soccer and dancing plus spending time with family and friends.

Sonya Mezinec, Councillor, City of Mount Gambier

Sonya is a Councillor for the City of Mount Gambier and was first elected in 2014 and was Deputy Mayor 2018-2020. Sonya has worked as a teacher, a financial planner, in a shelter for homeless women, as a union training and industrial officer, a project officer at the Working Women’s Centre and as a university lecturer, tutor and researcher. Her more recent roles have included:

  • Project Officer with Substance Misuse Limestone Coast;
  • Project Officer establishing The Haven a Women’s Information Outreach Service located at the Library;
  • Victim Support Coordinator assisting victims of crime;
  • and Case Manager, assisting women experiencing domestic violence.

Throughout her working life, Sonya has been drawn to working to improve the lives of and opportunities for communities and in particular women.

As a community leader and advocate Sonya is guided by the principals of equality of opportunity, access and inclusion so all individuals, businesses and organisations grow and prosper.

Tony Pasin, MP

Tony Pasin was born, raised and educated in Mount Gambier. The youngest son of hard-working Italian migrants, Tony grew up on the family farm and in his mother’s retail businesses, accordingly Tony knows the challenges faced by local families, the agricultural industry and small business.

Tony graduated from Flinders University with degrees in law and economics and worked as a lawyer in Adelaide before returning to Mount Gambier where he operated across the Limestone Coast, in partnership with his wife Fiona, the firm Pasin Lee Lawyers.
As the parents of two children Bella and Aria, Tony and Fiona understand the real challenges faced by families.
Tony has always maintained a strong interest in making a positive contribution to his community and to that end, served as a Councillor with the City of Mount Gambier between 2003 and 2010.

Being elected to the Federal Parliament for the first time in 2013, Tony prides himself on his ability to deliver real outcomes, having made positive changes that have improved communities across the 65,000 sq km electorate of Barker.
Tony believes strongly in being Barker’s voice in Canberra, not Canberra’s voice in Barker and works hard to ensure that the views of local communities are heard loud and clear in the Federal Parliament.

In June 2022, Tony was appointed to serve as Shadow Assistant Minister for Infrastructure and Transport and has a strong focus on improving the nation’s road infrastructure to see a safer and more productive road network, particularly in rural and regional Australia.
