    Event description

Join WIC at the National Gallery of Australia for an inspiring panel session with the women who contributed to bringing internationally acclaimed artist Jordan Wolfson's provocative animatronic work of art, Body Sculpture, to Canberra.

This unique acquisition has held audiences enthralled, but the story of what it takes to get a gigantic robot ready for a national audience is as fascinating as the piece itself.

Jade Carson, CIO of the National Gallery, will host a lively and eye-opening conversation with Neve Foxcroft, robotics work of art operator and Sally Brand, Wolfson Project Manager, talking about their Body Sculpture experience, and reflecting on their career path at the intersection of art and technology. This will be followed by a light lunch and a viewing of the of the Body Sculpture's captivating performance.

    • 11am registration

    • 12noon light lunch
