How to Get to Ross River Resort
There is no public transport from Alice Springs Airport to the CBD. Uber does not operate in Mparntwe/Alice Springs, and we recommend pre-booking taxis. Mparntwe/Alice Springs has a number of car hire companies (some based at the airport) and private charter bus companies.
There is also no public transport from Mparntwe/Alice Springs to the WOS site at Ross River Resort. There are two options, either driving a vehicle or purchasing a bus ticket through the Humantix website.
Carpooling to WOS is encouraged, follow Wide Open Space social media channels to keep up to date with the WOS community.
Car Passes *SOLD OUT*
In an effort to reduce the number of cars both on the roads and on the event site and to reduce the event's overall carbon footprint, Wide Open Space Festival 2024 has introduced a car pass system.
Only ticket holders with a valid car pass will be allowed to bring their vehicles into the main camping or family camping areas.
Car Passes (and quantity of cars on site) will be limited in number and car passes will be released in rounds. Please consider car pooling to reduce the number of car passes your crew will need. Revenue from Car Passes will be used to subsidise an expanded bus service to and from the event.
Vehicles with trailers, camper vans and vehicles larger than 2 axles will require a car pass and may be required to camp in designated areas.
No camping is allowed in vehicles without a valid car pass.

Bus Passes and Timetable
Wide Open Space runs a private bus service from Alice Springs Airport to the CBD and onto the Ross River Resort site. Tickets for the bus can be purchased via the Humanitix website.
The following bus tickets are available in packages designed for weekend and day pass holders. If a package is sold out or if you need a different combination of drop off at Ross River Resort and drop off in Mparntwe/Alice Springs from what is available in the packages, please send an email through to boxoffice@wideopenspace.net.au with the dates and times you are after and we will see what we can do for you.
