Wild & Green Mindful Pottery
Event description
When we engage in pottery, we cannot multitask, which makes it a mindful exercise. We focus entirely on the activity and feel more connected to our bodies, without worrying about what to do next. The physical act of sculpting with our hands and creating something brings a sense of harmony. Pottery is also a way to connect with nature. Mother Earth's four elements - clay, water, air, and fire - are involved in the creative process, and it satisfies a primal human desire to create. My workshop is designed for beginners
My workshops are designed for beginners who want to find a peaceful practice to add to their mental health toolkit. We will be using hand-building techniques, and your final creations will be available for pickup approximately four weeks after the workshop.
Additionally, pottery teaches us to be patient, which can be challenging in today's world where we expect immediate gratification.
