Mon, 19 May, 4pm - 23 Jun, 5:30pm AWST

Event description

For children 8 to 12 years

Get ready for an exciting 5-week adventure in the Wild at Art program, where you'll dive into Australia's endangered and threatened species with the guidance of an expert environmental educator.

Pick from a list of endangered animals, research it, and write a short reflection on its importance. Then, unleash your creativity as you work with talented artists to bring your research to life through your own artwork!

Participants must be available for all session dates:

  • May 19, 4pm to 5:30pm
  • May 26, 4pm to 5:30pm
  • June 9, 4pm to 5:30pm
  • June 16, 4pm to 5:30pm
  • June 23, 4pm to 5:30pm

Meet the experts who will guide you:

Cathy, from the Millennium Kids GreenLAB project, has over 30 years of experience helping kids and teens learn how to conserve and protect native plants and animals in their communities.

The Eco Action team, passionate about environmental protection, believes art can powerfully communicate important conservation messages. Our artists, Eris Veleva and Xanthe Turner, are also wildlife advocates, ready to inspire and mentor you as you create your art with a purpose!

Please note:

  • Do not attend if unwell
  • If you cannot make it to the event, we strongly encourage you to cancel your ticket to ensure your spot is allocated to another person on the waitlist
  • Only 1 ticket is required to attend all session dates
