Wild Florida 101: Gopher Tortoise

Join us for a fascinating guided hike into the world of the gopher tortoise, one of the most iconic and ecologically significant species in our region. As we an area with intricate burrows these remarkable creatures call home, you'll gain insight into their vital role in the ecosystem and the unique habitats they create. We will be walking around Perico Preserve to see a location that is a waif site. We will have a suprise visitor at the of our very own gopher tortoise Genbu.

Program suitable for adults.

We will be meeting at the pavillion at 9:00 am for starting the walk.
