A 4-Day Immersive Workshop in Botanical Ink, Observation and Experimental Mark-Making

Wild Marks is an immersive studio and some field-based workshop exploring drawing as a direct conversation with the natural world. Over four days, participants will make botanical inks, experiment with organic mark-making tools, and develop observational and intuitive drawing practices in nature.

The workshop combines slow looking, material exploration, environmental awareness, and contemporary drawing approaches. Participants will work with handmade inks, masking fluid, found materials, and natural surfaces to create a body of experimental works and a personal documentary of their environment.

Suitable for artists, designers, illustrators, educators, and curious beginners interested in ecology, process, and material-led artmaking.

Open to adults (participants must by 16 years or older).

CANCELLATION  OF AN EVENT DUE TO NOT REACHING CLASS NUMBERS

Thankfully this is an unusual occurrence, but it can happen. If we don’t reach the minimum number of bookings required to go ahead, we will notify you within seven days of the workshop date and issue a refund.

WEATHER

On site at the Butter Factory

We work inside, well-protected from the weather.  However, if driving is a safety issue, we may need to cancel. We will do our best to advise you by email before the start-time, but this may not always be possible due to power failures/internet reception/staff being stranded. Please check your email and junk mail for notices before leaving home. Refunds issued in full.
