Wild Path Outdoor Festival

Wild Path Outdoor Festival is a two-day celebration of movement, community, and outdoor play at Boyce Park.

Join us October 3 for an inclusive day built around three ways to move: trail running, climbing, and Ride/Roll. Whether you are trying something new, bringing the family out for the day, competing, or coming to cheer on the action, Wild Path is designed to make the outdoors more accessible, welcoming, and fun for everyone.

The festival will feature trail-running events, a bouldering competition at Boyce Park’s public climbing amenity, mountain biking, skate and BMX programming, clinics, youth and family activities, and plenty of opportunities to connect with Pittsburgh’s outdoor community.

Most public programming is free to attend. Registration is required for select competitions, capacity-limited clinics, introductory sessions, and youth activities. Competitive events are open until noon, Friday October 2 or until capacity is reached.

Competition Schedule

• 12:00–3:00 pm: Redpoint qualification for all competitors

• 3:00–3:30 pm: Score verification

• 3:45 pm: Elite finalists announced

• 4:30 pm: Finalist check-in and briefing

• 5:00–6:30pm: Elite showcase final and podium presentation

Times may be adjusted slightly based on event-day operations, weather, or safety considerations.

Awards

Awards will be presented in the following categories:

• Beginner Female & Male: Podium recognition and non-cash prizes or festival merchandise

• Intermediate Female & Male: Podium recognition and non-cash prizes or festival merchandise

• Open Female & Male: Podium recognition and a cash purse

Cash-purse amounts and distribution will be announced separately.
