Wild Wild West
Description
This year, we’re not just having a Christmas party.
We’re getting out of town.
RnL is heading up the Coast to the Tolaga Bay Inn for a Wild Wild West Christmas with a little saloon glamour, plenty of dancing and the kind of party our crew does particularly well.
Inspired by the swagger and theatrical fun of Wild Wild West, think jewel tones, velvet, leather, lace, fringe, feathers, fabulous hats, gamblers, outlaws, saloon girls and sharp-shooters.
This is one to dress for.
We’ll kick things off in the afternoon and roll on into the evening with dancing, music, food, drinks, plenty of time to catch up and a few Wild Wild West surprises along the way.
And because it wouldn’t be an RnL Christmas without capturing a little evidence, we’ll also be filming our 2026 Christmas video during the festivities.
You do not need to know the Wild Wild West line dance to come to the party or be part of the video. For those who do want to learn it, we’ll be running a separate workshop in Gisborne in the lead-up to Christmas. More details to come.
GETTING THERE
We’re planning a return bus from Gisborne, leaving town at approximately 2:30pm and departing Tolaga Bay at approximately 10pm.
Bus details and pricing will be confirmed separately.
Prefer to hitch a wagon and make a night of it? Accommodation options at or around the Tolaga Bay Inn will be shared as they’re confirmed.
DRESS
You know us. We’re not going quietly.
Think saloon style with some 1999 swagger: rich emerald, burgundy, black and gold; velvet, satin, leather and lace; corsets, waistcoats, fringe, feathers, statement hats, boots, jewellery and a touch of steampunk if the mood takes you.
Go glamorous. Go outrageous. Go Wild Wild West.
A LITTLE SOMETHING EXTRA
We’re creating a limited run of commemorative Wild Wild West folding fans in emerald, burgundy and black.
They’ll be $35 each, with all profits going towards the restoration of the Tolaga Bay Inn. Pre-order details coming soon.
Your ticket will include a light supper
Drinks will be available from the Tolaga Bay Inn bar.
Further details about transport, catering, accommodation, the pre-party workshop and Christmas video will be released as we get closer.
Saloon Style. East Coast Wild.
