Wilderfeast
Event description
Soon, we'll be wearing short sleeves, putting sprouts on everything, and generally feeling a spring in our step—but for now, there's still a heavy chill in the air.
Join us on Saturday, August 17th, in celebrating the last week of winter at Wilderfeast on Flinders Island.
Our young folk will open the show with a magical lantern parade. You’ll experience local food and drinks that’ are not just delicious, but an entirely plausible replacement for the sun exposure we have so sorely missed over the past few months.
An Art Auction on the night will feature creations by our talented local artists, with all money raised supporting our local Furneaux Community Arts.
We’ll dance the night away with Well Strung! The only thing you’ll need to bring is your dancing shoes. An even better idea is to wear them.
Let your imagination run wild and put together an amazing costume! Draw inspiration from pagan traditions, the earth and all its elements, or the changing seasons. Think greenery, sticks, feathers, fur, and leather. Dress warmly!
Join us for a night of enchantment and celebration!
