Wildflowering at Cooloola 2023
Event description
We will be celebrating the profusion of wildflowers in the Cooloola area near Rainbow Beach. Nature and creativity are natural partners. Artists and naturalists will lead walks on Saturday, and conduct art activities on Sunday in Cooloola Cove. A revised edition of the 60-page booklet, Cooloola Wildflowers and Walks, of local flowering plants and guides to walks will be included with each registration. Lunch on Saturday, and morning tea on Sunday are included, with catering for dietary preferences. Participants are advised to bring their own preferred materials, e.g. paper, board, charcoal, pencils etc. Some basic materials will be available at the event. A folding stool would also be useful for the sessions en plein air on both days.
Prices:
Saturday Registration: $65 or $55 concession
Sunday Registration:Â Â Â $50 or $40 concession
Both days Registration: $95 or $75 concession
Lunch Saturday is included, but order your dietary preference.
Lunch on Sunday is available for $15

Saturday event  includes lunch, booklet and guided wildflower walks within a 15-minute drive of Rainbow Beach.
(People will need to manage own transport.) Walks are generally in flat areas but they’re in soft sand and uneven ground (average grade 2-3 walks).

Welcome and introductions. Meet at Phil Rogers Park, Wide Bay Esplanade. Coffee and tea available. Explanation of walk choices with maps and CW&W booklet Groups to carpool when possible. |
