This event is part of the 2022 Great Southern Treasures Bloom Festival.

Wildflowers & Birds Tour hosted by the Gillamii Centre.

Enjoy this 4 day bus or self drive tour. You can select one to four of the days and you are welcome to join on the bus or bring your own car. 

Day 1 - 29 Sept 10am-4pm

  • Sukey Hill lookout to view Balicup wetlands suite & wildflowers
  • Purchase your own lunch in Cranbrook at a cafe
  • Cranbrook pink lake 
  • Bobs lake with birdlife

Day 2 - 30 Sept 10am-4pm

Cranbrook & Tenterden orchids & wildflowers

  • Cranbrook wildflower walk
  • Purchase your own lunch in Cranbrook at a cafe
  • Tenterden orchid reserve

Day 3 - 1 Oct

Rest day

  • Visit Cranbrook community hub “our wetlands & wildflowers” photographic exhibition opening
  • Guided wildflower-orchid walks Stirling Ranges. 1.5 hour easy walk from Mt Trio bush camp. Need to book 0419751801 
  • Option 1 – self drive along salt river road, turn south to head to mount barker via Porongerup townsite and walk around town looking at the “mountains & murals” return to Cranbrook via Albany Hwy
  • Option 2 – self drive along salt river road, turn north to head to Gnowangerup townsite looking at the “horse power highway” head down to Ongerup mallee fowl return to Cranbrook via great southern highway through Tambellup.

Day 4 - 2 Oct 1pm-6pm

Frankland river orchids & wildflowers

  • Lake Poorarecup
  • Frankland river wildflower walk
  • *** tbc Frankland winery visit 
  • “bloom” art exhibition opening at Frankland river CRC
  • Drinks and Nibbles provided at art opening
