Wildlife Spotlight: A.M. Risers Moody Branch
Description
Join us for an early‑morning birding walk at Moody Branch WMA, a beautiful stretch of scrub habitat treasured for its rare and charismatic Florida Scrub‑Jays. As the first light of day filters through the pines, we’ll follow a peaceful, easy‑to‑navigate trail and listen as the landscape wakes up around us. Cooler temperatures and soft morning light create ideal conditions for spotting birds and other wildlife moving through the brush.
Throughout the walk, we’ll pause to share observations, discuss species behaviors, and highlight the unique natural communities that make this area such a special place. It’s a wonderful opportunity to slow down, tune in, and experience the rhythm of the habitat at its most active.
Meet at 6:50 a.m.; we’ll wrap up by 9:00 a.m.
