Professor Geoffrey Hinton, known as the "Godfather of AI", will discuss artificial intelligence - how it works, the risks it poses to our society, and how we might coexist with superintelligent AI. 

Professor Hinton was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2024 for his foundational work on neural networks and deep learning that made advanced artificial intelligence possible. 

In 2023, Professor Hinton resigned his position as Vice President of Google to speak freely about the dangers of AI.

This is a special opportunity to listen to Professor Hinton speak at his only public appearance in Australia.
